A series of small timber sculptures I created from scrap wood and Cuisenaire rods in 2024. This series was exhibited at ‘This is Not The End’ at CoCraft Gallery as part of Melbourne Design Week 2024. 

This is not the end is an exhibition of new work by independent furniture makers and artists at the CoCraft Workshop gallery.

In January 2024 a ban on all Victorian native timber logging officially took effect. While this is a positive for the environment, it brings about challenges for makers who have based businesses on these timbers over many years. This is also an opportunity for designers to embrace this change, explore new materials, techniques and business models. This exhibition is a showcase of CoCraft Workshop’s experiments and an invitation to designers and architects to explore this new ground with them.
