Wow. Just had an awesome day learning weaving with natural fibres at CAE with great teacher, Adrienne Kneebone. [adriennekneebone.com] Am really happy with what I achieved in six hours and grateful my hands were dexterous enough today. So much fun! The materials we started off with. Straw, rafia, juncus, wool. The first exercise – make a bush toy. I made a camp dog to be friends with with the indigenous camp dog toys I have picked up on my travels. Second exercise was making a coil basket. Not too hard. Coil basket in progress. Coil basket finished! Pretty happy with it! 🙂 First attempt at twine technique. Very hard! Second attempt at twine technique. Even harder! Just enough time left to make a giraffe. Or is it a very tall donkey? 5 pieces in 6 hours. Pretty chuffed! Share this:TwitterFacebookPinterest
